My Expectations for This Year/What you Need to Know
This will be my first year teaching math and science at a middle school level. It's going to be a great challenge and I'm looking forward to it. I will post homework, news, and any valuable information on my webpage. I will update it weekly, if not daily.
I plan on using Google Classroom this year. I might, however, opt out and use my webpage for everything. I will make a decision early during the first month. I'll keep you updated.

Hello, my name is Adam Campbell. I teach 6th-8th middle school math and science, as well as Bible once a day. I am the 7th grade homeroom teacher. I was born and raised in Grand Haven, Michigan. I've lived in Hilton Head, South Carolina for a summer. After I graduated from Grand Valley with a degree in education and a social studies content major, I moved to Houston where I taught 1st, 6th and 8th grade. When I came back from Houston in fall 2018, I proceeded to teach reading intervention at San Juan Diego Academy in Grand Rapids for a semester. Last year I coached girls 5th grade basketball at GHC and 6th-8th girls basketball at WMC. I will be coaching boys 6th-7th basketball at Fremont and assistant coaching 6th-8th girls basketball.
I am incredibly excited to teach at Fremont Christian. This is a wonderful opportunity that God has given me, and I'm eager for the school year to begin, so that I can make the most of this blessing! My favorite part of being a teacher is challenging students to be better. I am in my happy place when I'm facilitating a lesson and observing student growth. My favorite Bible verse is Colossians 4:2, which reads, "Devote yourself to prayer, being watchful and thankful." In other words, talk to the Lord, be grateful for what you have and continue to learn!
Outside of school, I am dedicated to coaching basketball and my writing career, which I hope to have one day! I have written one book. The thirteen rejections were a blessing because it challenged me to be better. I also love walking with my Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, Spike, and reading. I'm engaged to be married May 5th to Allison Langeland.
One day when I am a successful writer, it is my dream to live high in the mountains somewhere, surrounded by a lake.
