Kinder Webpage: Mrs. Nelson and Mrs. Donkersloot
I have lived in Fremont for the last 5 years with my husband Jon and our two children. I began aiding at FCS in the Fall of 2013 and this year accepted the M/W/F Kindergarten teaching position. I love working with children and seeing their progress throughout the year. I also enjoy substitute teaching in various classrooms within the school. Before moving to Fremont, I taught at a Christian school in Grand Rapids for 9 years. During that time I was a 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and homeschool program teacher. I am excited to see excellence in education and the incorporation of Christ throughout each day.
One of my favorite verses is Micah 6:8 "For he has shown you O man, what is good and what does the Lord require of you: To act justly, love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God." I love that God gives clear direction for what He expects of our lives.
I strive to life a life of thanksgiving to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who loves unconditionally. Looking back I can see how God has led me to where I am today. I grew up in North Muskegon, attended Muskegon Christian School, Western Michigan Christian High School, and obtained my bachelo's degree in elementary education from Calvin College. From there I ventured to New Mexico where I got a job at Rehoboth Christian School and met my husband. We have a sweet daughter and together we all enjoy exploring and spending time in God's creation. Rehoboth is an incredible community and we are so thankful for the years spent in God's red rock landscape and now we all look forward to being a part of the Fremont Christian family.
One of my favorite verses is Ephesians 3:16-19
