A bit about me…
My name is Tom Stepanek and this is my 7th year at Fremont Christian School. I enjoy being able to openly express my faith with my students and share with them how God has worked in my life.

Christian education has played an important role in my life. I had the opportunity to receive a Christian education throughout my school career, for which I am very thankful. It provided me with an atmosphere in which Christ was always at the center of learning and provided me the chance to talk about and grow in my faith. My school experience began at Hudsonville Christian School, where I attended both elementary and middle school. I then continued my education at Unity Christian High School and went on to earn my College teaching degree from Dordt College, a small Christian college located in northwest Iowa, from which I graduated in 2012. It is my goal to help provide my students with an equally positive experience so that their educational experience at FCS may impact their lives as my Christian education did. I hope to instill in my students the love that God has for them so that they might “Love the Lord their God with all their soul and with all their mind and with all their strength”, as stated in one of my favorite Bible verses: Mark 12:30. I want to teach and encourage my students to serve God both now and in the future so that their love for the Lord can be seen by and shared with others.
One of my goals as the 8th grade homeroom teacher is to provide these students with opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Throughout the year we serve in many different ways; we rake leaves, we pop popcorn to raise money for cancer bags, we serve food at a local food truck, and we are waiters and waitresses at TrueNorth's Thanksgiving meal. All of these service opportunities show and guide students on how to impact the world for Christ.

Outside of school, I have a wonderful family that I enjoy spending time with. My wife, Meghan Stepanek, and I have been married for 6 years. We love living here in Newaygo County as it provides us with many opportunities to be outside and enjoy God’s creation. Together we love biking, playing soccer, camping, kayaking, tubing, any anything that has to do with water. We also enjoy spending time with our German shepherd named Ryka.
