Fremont Christian’s goal is to provide the students with a Christian education that helps the students to build upon their God given talents and potential to grow to be a responsible and discerning Christian in the world God has placed us in.

The goal of our technology curriculum is to enable our students to be able to use the tools of technology in the many different components of technology: General Technological and Christian Awareness, Paint and Graphics, Keyboarding, Word Processing, Information Systems, Network Awareness, Internet and Webpaging, Multimedia and Electronic Presentations, Spreadsheets, Database, Digital & Video Cameras and Editing, Publishing, along with Educational Software. Students in grades 1^st-8^th will develop these tools in the weekly Computer Classes, relating these tools to the appropriate grade levels and classroom units of study.

Mrs. Folkema has taught computers at FCS for over 10 years. Vonnie holds a B.A. in Education from Calvin College and a continuing teaching certificate from Western Michigan University. Vonnie also enjoys teaching Kindergarten three times per week at MCS along with computers at FCS on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Her goal is to help parents teach their children about God, His world and His plan for their lives. She appreciates the world technology has opened for us in the 21^st century, and enjoys teaching children the many things they can do with technology as a creative, useful, and necessary tool.

Vonnie and her husband own "Country Folk Dairy Farm" in Fremont. Vonnie enjoys singing on the praise team in her church, and photo scrapbooking & computer graphics as her hobbies.
