Vonnie Folkema

Mrs. Folkema has taught in Christian Education for over 30 years.  Vonnie has taught computers at FCS for over 10 years, and now is launching some other favorite teaching areas - Bible and History.  She is also enjoying being the 5th grade homeroom teacher.  Vonnie holds a B.A. in Education from Calvin College, with a Social Studies group minor,  and a continuing teaching certificate from Western Michigan University.  

Her goal is to help parents teach their children about God, His world and His plan for their lives.  She appreciates the world technology has opened for us in the 21^st century, and enjoys teaching children the many things they can do with technology as a creative, useful, and necessary tool.

Vonnie and her husband own "Country Folk Dairy Farm" in Fremont.  Vonnie enjoys singing on the praise team in her church, and photo scrapbooking & computer graphics as her hobbies.
