Ski Club 2023

The start of the new year brings the start of the FCS Ski Club trips! The FCS ski club is a group of students and families who enjoy downhill skiing, and we travel to Caberfae Peaks in Cadillac several times during the ski season on Friday evenings for some time on the slopes. FCS students, families, alumni, and friends are welcome to come ski with us. We head up to Caberfae after school on designated Fridays and can ski until the resort closes at 9 PM. Skiers are responsible for their own transportation up to Caberfae. Lift tickets are $12, and rental equipment (skis or snowboard) is an additional $12. Group beginner ski lessons are also available at a cost of $2 for skiers ages 8 and up. Ski trips are currently scheduled for Jan. 13, Feb. 3, Feb. 17, and March 3.

Sign-up for trips happens by contacting Mary Folkema, our ski club organizer.  Equipment rental reservations are due the Tuesday morning before a trip, and earlier is preferred if possible. If you are interested in the January 13 trip, equipment reservations are due by next week Tuesday morning, Jan. 10.  Please contact Mary, and she will send you the details needed for rental reservations.

If skiing sounds like something you might be interested in, please call, text, or email Mary at 313-522-4003 or mfolkema@sbcglobal.net. She would love to answer any questions and tell you more about this great program!
