Fremont Christian School is excited to announce that we have been recognized as a Certified Michigan Green School at the Evergreen Level for the 2025–2026 school year!
Michigan Green Schools are recognized for their commitment to environmental education and stewardship. This certification is a natural extension of the culture already present at FCS, where students practice being Earth Keepers and Creation Enjoyers in their daily learning and school life.
The Evergreen Level is the highest level of certification and requires schools to complete 20 or more environmental stewardship activities. At FCS, some of these efforts include:
• Recycling
• Composting food waste
• Upcycling art projects
• Energy-saving programs
• Environmental education
• Community outreach and service
• Maintaining a native plant garden
• Protecting habitats and caring for the watershed
• Learning about our local environment through field trips and local experts
• Providing Outdoor Education opportunities for students
We are grateful for the opportunity to glorify God through learning in His creation and enjoying the beauty He has given us. It is an honor to impact the world for Christ through acts of stewardship, service, and Earth Keeping.
