What is TfT?

Maybe you’ve heard this acronym in the last few years around FCS. TfT is a framework that Fremont Christian School and our collaborative Christian schools have adopted within the last 3 years.

TfT stands for Teaching for Transformation. “Teaching for Transformation is a design framework for the creation of authentic, Formational Learning Experiences that are rooted in a transformational worldview.” https://www.teachingfortransformation.org/

This framework transforms our Christian school teaching.  It provides the framework for teaching our students to See the Story of the gospel and to Live the Story of the gospel, and this happens through our everyday teaching and learning.  Every teacher at FCS has a deep hope for students to live out their part in God’s story.  Using habits of living and habits of learning, teachers create formational learning experiences where students do kingdom work for authentic purposes.

“The primary goal of Christian education is the formation of a peculiar people – a people who desire the kingdom of God and thus undertake their life’s expression of that desire.”
James K. A. Smith, Desiring the Kingdom
